Extending Our Reach: Grants & Growth
Through the Lisa A. Cudahy Community Health Grants, the Foundation works to promote and assist nonprofit community organizations dedicated to education, outreach and innovative approaches to women’s health. These grants support local nonprofits that are piloting or expanding impactful programs to improve the health and well-being of women across Wisconsin.
The grants are built on the belief that strong partnerships create stronger communities. By combining WWHF’s statewide reach with the expertise and compassion of local nonprofits, we’re able to extend our collective impact.
This fall, WWHF staff had the privilege of visiting one of our most recent grant recipients: Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services, Inc (CADASI) in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. With support from the Community Health Grant, CADASI opened new transitional housing units where survivors of domestic abuse can stay for up to two years as they begin to heal, rebuild and regain stability.
Seven families are already enrolled and thriving in these safe, welcoming spaces. The program not only provides secure housing but also offers ongoing support and resources to help women and families move forward with confidence.

WWHF Executive Director, Tommi Thompason, shared, “We were inspired by the care and purpose behind every detail of this project. It’s a powerful example of what’s possible when organizations work together to meet the needs of Wisconsin families.”
We’re proud to partner with nonprofits like CADASI, who share our mission to uplift women and strengthen communities. Together, we’re building bridges to safety, health and hope.
