Building Partnerships Throughout the State

Building Partnerships Throughout the State

Working Together For Healthier Families and Communities

During the Burlington School District Youth Mental Health Resource Fair in November, we were excited to connect with Stephanie Hullum, the Attendance Coordinator/Behavioral Health Navigator for the Racine Unified School District (RUSD). She shared the work she does providing mental health resources for staff and families and expressed an interest in learning more about the services WWHF has to offer.

Fall 2024 was a busy time for the WWHF Outreach team! Our Well Badger staff participated at a number of conferences and events, providing presentations and outreach tabling to share flyers, resources and fun items to get the word out about our services including the Well Badger Resource Center, the Youth Wellness Hub and the First Breath program. These opportunities bring resources to parents, families, professionals and community partners, increasing equity and access to health and other services across the state, and strengthening information networks and partnerships.

Stephanie shared, “Racine Unified has been diligently working to keep our support staff up to date with resources available to our students and families for their mental wellness. A resource that was recently shared with us by Elizabeth [Well Badger Outreach Coordinator] was the Well Badger Resource Center and Youth Wellness Hub. After initially exploring these websites, it appears there are so many ways our support staff can utilize these resources in their day-to-day work.” Our team is excited for this opportunity to do a walk through with RUSD student services teams demonstrating our program’s tools so they can see the full potential of being a one stop shop to support the mental wellness of students. Thank you, Stephanie, for your work, and realizing that together, we can make a greater impact.

By working hand-in-hand with community leaders like Stephanie, we can extend the reach of our programs and ensure that families and students in Wisconsin have access to the resources they need. Partnerships and collaborations are the key to supporting families across the state!

If you know a school, organization or community group that could benefit from
Well Badger’s resources, please reach out to the outreach team at outreach@wwhf.org.
Together, we can make a difference!
