Did you know women across the state commonly struggle with how to find answers and solutions to the health and wellness issues that impact their families? How can you help?
The Wisconsin Women’s Health Foundation’s mission is to Innovate, Impact and Improve women’s health, and one of the ways we are improving the health of women and children in your community is with our new program, The Well Badger Resource Center: where the goal is to listen and help!
Well Badger provides information and referral (I&R) services to individuals, families and health professionals throughout the state. Our trained specialists are patient and knowledgeable. They not only connect women to necessary health and wellness resources, but also follow up just to make sure they received the necessary information.
I called looking to see if my family would qualify for assistance, and Chanel let me know of additional programs we would qualify for! – Well Badger caller from Milwaukee
Each year, Well Badger serves approximately 1,700 individuals and makes 2,500 referrals. More than half of those we serve are pregnant or postpartum women, and over 20% are children and youth with special needs. Our staff not only assist women who are trying to find low-cost baby supplies or insurance coverage for a mammogram, but families needing mental health services for their child or respite care for their family member with special needs. Whatever questions families have – we are committed to finding the answers.
“I feel it’s one of the best resources I’ve found.” – Well Badger caller from Northern Wisconsin
“The staff was friendly, helpful, resourceful, and knowledgeable.” – caller from Shawano
