Think Ability Wisconsin
Supporting other community organizations doing great work!
At the Wisconsin Women’s Health Foundation (WWHF), we strive to make a meaningful impact on maternal and child health in our community. While we focus on addressing specific needs or gaps within the healthcare landscape, we recognize the importance of supporting other organizations doing similar great work across the state. That’s why we’re thrilled to highlight the launch of Think Ability Wisconsin, a groundbreaking statewide program initiated by our esteemed partner organization, the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin.
Think Ability Wisconsin aims to enhance employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities while improving hiring practices and retention rates for employers. This initiative aligns perfectly with our commitment to fostering inclusivity and empowerment in the workforce.
We believe that when groups work together – in small or big ways – we can create positive change and build a more equitable future for all.
As supportive partners in the development of Think Ability Wisconsin, the Well Badger Resource Center team leveraged their experience and knowledge to consult on various aspects of the program’s development. From advising on technical operations to sharing insights on service provision, our collaboration with the Think Ability team has been instrumental in shaping the program’s foundation.
Lauren Lotter, Program Manager for Well Badger, shared how this partnership is a win-win,“We have enjoyed working with and supporting the Think Ability WI team as they developed and launched this important initiative. Collaborating with partners who share a mission is so powerful for programming development!
By sharing insights from our team’s successes, as well as lessons learned from mistakes and technological expertise, we’re delighted they could spend less time figuring out the time-consuming HOW and concentrate more on their objectives. We benefit from having valuable peer colleagues and an excellent service our Well Badger team can refer people to, resulting in a win-win situation for all involved.”
While we can’t do everything, we’re proud to play a small supporting role in this transformative initiative. Together with Think Ability Wisconsin, we’re forging a path toward a more inclusive and equitable future in the workforce. We look forward to continuing our partnership and making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities in Wisconsin.
