Heart Health Month
Prioritize Your Health Today!
Heart disease includes all diseases of the heart and cardiovascular system, such as heart attack and stroke, and is a leading cause of death, but the good news is that many risk factors are preventable. This American Heart Month, it’s the perfect time to prioritize your heart health with these simple steps:

- Eat Heart-Healthy Foods: Focus on fruits, veggies, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. Limit processed foods and salt.
- Get Active: Aim for 150 minutes of moderate weekly exercise to strengthen your heart.
- Manage Stress: Practice relaxation techniques like deep breathing and meditation.
- Quit Smoking or Vaping: Commercial tobacco use harms your heart—quitting is the best step you can take for your health.
- Stop or Limit Alcohol Use: no more than 1 drink/day for women, 2 drinks/day for men.
- Know Your Numbers: Regularly check blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar levels. Keep a healthy weight.
- Sleep Well: Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night to support heart health.
By making small, lasting changes, you can reduce your risk of heart disease and improve your overall well-being. This February, commit to living a heart-healthy life!
