On October 22, WWHF and the Clinical Trials Education Network (CTEN) of Wisconsin hosted a Clinical Trials Luncheon in La Crosse. Around fifty area health professionals, educators and community members maxed out the event to get a glimpse into the clinical trial world and how it is benefiting the local community.
Laura Strong, Clinical Development Director at Exact Sciences, was one of the presenters, and she provided an overview of clinical trials as well as the exciting research behind a potential new market drug. Deb Kettner-Sieber, Clinical Research Manager with Gundersen Medical Foundation, additionally shared information on why clinical trials are so valuable, and gave updates on what’s happening specifically in the La Crosse community.
We are so grateful these two amazing women were able to share their time and expertise with us. It was a cool blustery day in La Crosse, and we were thrilled to see so many attendees!
