A Day at Exact Sciences

We were privileged to take an in-depth tour of their cutting-edge labs, indulge in a delightful lunch and convene for our board meeting.

We extend our gratitude to the individuals at Exact Sciences, including Jake Orville (also a Foundation board member), Sara Anderson, Katie Boyce and Sarah Newby, for their warm hospitality and commitment to our cause.

Exact Sciences’ Mission

Exact Sciences’ mission to eradicate cancer and the suffering it causes aligns perfectly with our goals, as they pior tests for prevention, early detection and effective treatment. During our visit, we had the opportunity to explore Cologuard, a groundbreaking stool DNA-based colorectal cancer screening test designed for individuals aged 45 and above. Cologuard’s innovative approach involves the analysis of stool samples for 10 DNA markers and the detection of hemoglobin in the stool.

We are grateful for the insights shared by Jake Orville, General Manager of Screening, Sara Anderson, Manager of the Clinical Laboratory, Katie Boyce, Senior Director of Corporate Impact & Community Relations and Sarah Newby, Senior Executive Administrative Business Partner. Their expertise and commitment to improving healthcare outcomes are inspiring
