The Wisconsin Women’s Health Foundation (WWHF) proudly honored our 2019 Champions in Women’s Health on Saturday, April 27th.
The award is a unique opportunity to raise awareness about the remarkable work of talented health leaders in Wisconsin and recognize individuals who have devoted themselves to improving the lives of Wisconsin women and their families. The awardees have demonstrated their dedication to women’s health through exemplary achievement in their specific area of expertise.
Nominations for this year’s award were submitted throughout October 2018. The Champion’s Selection Committee, comprised of non-WWHF individuals from a variety of backgrounds, met to select the 2019 Champions in early December. Five award winners were chosen.
Ninety individuals registered to support this year’s honorees, overlooking the Wisconsin State Capitol throughout the Saturday afternoon celebration at the Park Hotel. Sue Ann Thompson, WWHF Founder & President, along with Tommi Thompson, WWHF Executive Director, presented each Champion with their award. A video of the event allows for additional individuals to share in the festivities that took place.
