How I Quit

How I Quit: Small Steps Overtime

“I stopped smoking cigarettes by slowly buying them less. Because I have previously stopped smoking, it wasn’t hard to cut back on smoking cigarettes, with only smoking a portion instead of a whole each time. This saved me money and helped me smoke less. I wasn’t a heavy smoker to begin with, which helped me cut down faster than I expected, which turned into not buying a pack in about 3-4 months now. Being predominantly around people who don’t smoke nicotine also helped as well.

She [First Breath health educator] was on top of contacting me consistently and scheduling appointments to catch up on my progress. As well as give me ideas on how to cope with the smoking itself. I appreciated the help and encouragement on this journey and the commitment shown to myself and my quit coach for helping me and contacting me to reschedule when I didn’t have the time. I hope it stays this way!”
