WWHF Grants
The WWHF has administered awards of hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants and scholarships, supporting the work of women scientists and researchers and community organizations committed to education and outreach in women’s health.

Markos Family Breast Cancer Woman Faculty Scholar Grant
This award is given by the Wisconsin Women’s Health Foundation (WWHF) to a junior woman faculty member (assistant professor or assistant scientist) to support her development as a leader in breast cancer research.
This support provides the opportunity for more women to reach leadership positions where they can introduce women-centered concepts into the training of healthcare professionals, influence health policy to eliminate gender bias and contribute to scientific knowledge which should underlie healthcare practices related to women. This award is limited to women until gender equity is achieved in academic medicine.
Lisa A. Cudahy Community Health Grant
Through the Lisa A. Cudahy Community Health Grants, WWHF strives to promote and assist nonprofit community organizations committed to education and outreach in women’s health. These grants are awarded every two years.
We partner with local nonprofit organizations looking to pilot and/or expand innovative and impactful women’s health programming. These grants are based on the premise that partnerships between WWHF and local, nonprofit community organizations capitalize on the strengths and unique skills of each organization.
The next round of grants will be awarded in 2027. Questions? Contact Nora at nmiller@wwhf.org

The lullabies are then professionally arranged, recorded, and shared in a public performance featuring professional musicians and the mothers themselves.
