I decide to quit when I was pregnant because I wanted to make sure I was around for my children and better my odds of being able to see them graduate. Unfortunately, I had health risks, so I was unable to during my pregnancy but as soon as I had my son, I started the road to quitting.
It was extremely hard for me to do since I had been smoking for about 10 years on and off. But with the weekly texts of support and encouragement, plus looking at my children, I quit one day and never have picked another one up.
The meetings from my coach made me feel so much better that I was doing the right thing for my children. I can go for walks with my children and play with them at the park and not be taking smoke breaks and now being able to breath. I feel so much better about life I can wake up and snuggle with my kids instead of rushing to go get my first smoke of the day.
I would advise anyone with or without children to quit even just for them. Take your life back and spend as much time as you can enjoying breathing and living life. I quit over 7 months ago and I’ll never touch another one again.
