Quitting for Kids and Health

I wanted to quit smoking for my kids and my health. I’ve tried many things from hard candy and flavored toothpicks to occupying my hands with fidget toys. I have cut back quite a considerable amount from when I started my journey. I went from smoking almost two packs a day to about one pack a week.

One thing I would recommend to anyone trying to quit is to be reasonable with yourself. Quitting is a very hard thing to do. So don’t expect that you can just throw the pack and forget about them. Set realistic goals. Trust me, I tried cold turkey after 11 years of smoking. I became mean and angry towards everyone. Which didn’t help my cause. So I started setting goals like today I will smoke only 10. And keep pushing it back. There will be days when you don’t achieve your goals. That’s ok. Look at your day and figure out the trigger that caused you to smoke more.

Dejar De Fumar Para Los Niños y La Salud
