One Day at a Time

I quit the day that I took an at-home pregnancy test and it came back positive. I had two cigarettes left in the pack and then I was done.

Any time I felt the need to smoke I just thought of my baby. I knew it was going to be hard but I also know I would not do anything to put the baby at risk. I also chew gum a lot more!

The biggest benefit would clearly be the fact I gave birth to a healthy baby girl, but quitting also saved me so much money! I had not realized how much I smoked and how much it cost me! If you are someone who is trying to quit I think you need a reason. Whether it be for health reasons, financial reasons, or for someone you love. No matter what the reason is, just focus on that every day. Take it one day at a time.
