No Matter How Many Tries It Takes

I decided to quit smoking back in 2019. I was pregnant and didn’t want to ruin my baby’s lungs (I’ve been smoking since 2013).

After I had my first child, I immediately craved a cigarette and caved. Eventually, in 2020 or 2021, a relative came up to me and told me about vaping and to try it to attempt to quit. At first, it was going well, and now I can’t stand cigarettes. However, then I was hooked on vaping.

Happy baby with hands in aireI got pregnant again in 2023 and again, I didn’t want to ruin my child’s lungs or my babies. I felt so guilty, I just wanted to set a good example – I even graduated high school (so many years later) while pregnant and very sick, just to show my kids that you can do anything as long as you try hard enough. I get to walk in graduation in a few days.

I started focusing more on chores and my kids to cut down and everything, keeping myself busy. I have noticed that I can taste and smell better.

Do not give up, even if you go back to it, just try again, no matter how many tries it takes!

*Edited for clarity.
