Bigger Picture

Seeing the Bigger Picture: Carol’s Story

When making the decision to stop smoking, drinking, or using drugs or anything that is to put toxins in our bodies, just take a long minute to look at what could happen in the long run. It might seem unrealistic until it is dialysis, Chemo treatment, liver failure,A selfie of Carol, looking seriously into the camera. lung cancer, throat cancer. The sadness it will cost our family and our children to see us in the hospital or at home struggling to breathe, live, be mobile period it is not worth it. So put your faith in God, in yourself and push forward through this.

Everyday will not be like the day before. Everyday will not be easy, that’s why there is people here to help us and if you are uncomfortable talking to a stranger try talking to a close friend or even a family member. If you are too ashamed, then you realize talking to a stranger is more comfortable and easier than somebody that knows you.

And when you have accomplished your goals, you have something you have conquered and to be proud of. I’m telling you it is not a pleasant thing for you to get a test result back saying you have a tumor on your lung or hear and learn your mom or dad has a failing kidney or a real-time who has been drinking since you were in diapers now didn’t wake up from alcohol poisoning.

We need to wake up and see the bigger picture here. It’s never too late until it is. I wish everybody the best of luck and know this needs to be a decision you make, nobody can force you until you are admitted to a hospital and are not able to get out of the bed on your own. Good luck!

¡Buenas suerte!
